About the Presenter:

Mr Don Page, often referred to as the God Father of ITIL, has over 25 years experience in IT Service Management. As Chief Executive and Chairman of the Marval Group, Don has been responsible for the design & implementation of some of Europe`s largest Service & Support operations. His straight talking, pragmatic and innovative approach has made him a world-renowned and respected industry figure.  Don has been the keynote speaker at numerous itSMF conferences world wide, including South Africa in 2004, Australia 2005 and the United Kingdom 2005. Don is visiting South Africa for the second time to assist with a number of strategic projects underway with the Marval partner in the region, Quintica, and will be spending a week working with, and presenting to, the local industry the latest news and his views on the entire Service Management space.   

 

In addition to being an active practitioner, Don has been responsible for co-authoring several of the most important service management publications in the world, including:-

  • Co-author of the International ITIL Best Practice publications
  • Co-author of ISO20000 (Soon to be the first worldwide standard for IT Service Management)
  • Co-author of the British Standard for IT Service Management (BS15000, known in Australia as AS8018)
  • British Standards "A Code of Practice for IT Service Management" (DISC PD 0005)

In recognition of his commitment and service to the industry, Don received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the IT Service Management Forum (ITSMF).
